Representation

Our commitment
Representing the Interests of Immigrant Professionals
La Voix de l'Immigrant serves as a voice for immigrant professionals by advocating for their concerns, needs, and recommendations with public agencies, institutions, and key stakeholders across society.
Our goal is to help advance practices and policies that promote a fairer, more inclusive, and equitable professional integration for immigrant professionals.
Our role
We act as a bridge between skilled workers, public institutions, policymakers, employers, and the various stakeholders involved in economic immigration and professional integration.
Our role includes:
-
Raising awareness of the realities experienced by skilled workers outside Canada;
-
Advocating for their interests with relevant authorities;
-
Informing decision-makers about the barriers encountered throughout immigration and integration pathways;
-
Promoting more equitable and inclusive practices;
-
Encouraging the recognition of internationally acquired skills, qualifications, and professional experience;
-
Advancing equal opportunities and access to information.

How we act
Dialogue with institutions

We work on issues related to skills recognition, access to employment, the fight against discrimination, and the improvement of conditions for professional integration
Participation in consultations

We take part in public consultations, working groups, and policy discussions to ensure that the voices and experiences of immigrant professionals are considered in decision-making processes
Strengthening the collective voice

We foster the participation and expression of immigrant professionals through dialogue, consultation, and community engagement. By amplifying shared experiences and concerns, we help ensure that their collective voice is heard by decision-makers and institutions
Partner engagement

We collaborate with community organizations, institutions, employers, and other stakeholders to foster initiatives that support equitable professional integration and long-term inclusion

Why representation matters
Representation enables immigrant professionals to make their voices heard, contribute to decisions that affect them, and actively participate in building a more inclusive society.
By recognizing and valuing their expertise, skills, and professional experience, we help strengthen the recognition of their contributions to the economic, social, and cultural development of our communities.
